Style Steal: Lorde

     My new favourite artist is Lorde, who just released her debut album Pure Heroine at the age of sixteen in September. Her hypnotizing voice and fascinating lyrics have turned the world of pop music upside down, and I absolutely adore her! One other thing I love about Lorde is her style. Here are a couple of her outfits:

     I absolutely love her fashion sense because it's quirky with an edge, and Lorde doesn't feel the need to wear less clothing to receive attention. Here is an outfit I put together inspired by her:

What's in my bag?

     Hey guys! So for today, I wanted to show you guys what I keep in my purse. Of course, a majority of the space in my bag is filled with random junk I collect over time... but here are the essentials!

     1. Makeup bag. In here, I keep a few basic things like concealer, lip gloss, chapstick, mascara, and some ponytail holders. 

     2. Gum. Hey, sometimes you need to freshen up a bit!

     3. Wallet. I have to have a place to keep extra cash and store cards!

     4. Phone. Okay, I would not be able to survive an average day without my phone.

     5. Deck of cards. I always play card games with friends when I'm bored.

You'll Never Find Love in an Open Hand

     I think this outfit is perfect for a Sunday that included going to lunch and seeing a movie- and that is just what I did! Today, I went out to Panera and then saw Catching Fire- and I loved it! How did you spend your weekend? 

     Sometimes, you just need some sneakers and skinnies as the base of your outfit. Today was just one of those days for me! Here, I paired a nautical-striped tee with dark skinnies and added Converse knock-off's and a large tote to make the look more casual.

Sweater Weather

     I love the fall because you can layer tons of clothing items and get away with it. One of my favourite bases for these looks is a good old sweater! Here are a few of my best ones.

If I may just take your breath away

     Seeing things in black and white isn't always a bad thing... and it can make for a super cute outfit!
     Here, I threw on an oversized, graphic sweater over a striped pencil skirt, with tights and sneaker wedges. What I love about this is the proportions- you have to make sure the looseness of the top is balanced out by the tight bottoms, or vice versa. Proportion is key in fashion!

Winged Eyeliner Tutorial

Upcoming posts

     I am thinking of doing a new series on the blog, but I can't decide which! Help me out, guys.

     One is a "Style Steal." I'll talk about a celebrity style icon and then create an outfit inspired by them.

     Another idea would to have a "Piece of the Week," where I introduce one item I've been using a lot that week.

     Lastly, I could have a "How-To Wear" series- this would include basic closet essentials, and how I wear them.
