One Piece, Two Ways

I love trying to take one item and wear it as many different ways as I can. Here, I took my new red pants from H&M and wore them in two outfits: one is sweet and the other is edgy.

In the sweet one (see left), I paired the bottoms with a striped tee to keep it classic. The cut is the best part, to me at least, because it put a fresh spin on your average nautical top. Adding a pair of cute nude flats just completed the look.

For the edgy look (see right), I decided to put the emphasis on red by wearing a Stones tee with red details. Playing on the rock vibe, I wore my ~new~ Doc Martens that I refuse to not bring up in every conversation I have, ever. They're just so perfect.

My Style Spirit Animals

Today I have decided to share with you guys my style spirit animals. You may be wondering, "What in the world is that?" Well, a style spirit animal is basically anyone whose fashion sense I feel on an almost spiritual level. Here are my top five style idols in no particular order (both fictional and real).

1. Alexa Chung

2. Carrie Bradshaw

3. Tavi Gevinson

4. Leandra Medine

5. Violet E.

So Goth I'm Dead

Orange and black and super cool together, in spite of the season. I really do think they make an edgy pair, especially with this cool embroidered skirt, distressed tights and a fitted top. A simple structure and funky details make an outfit.

Love List

I've decided to show you guys what I've been loving lately. This list is a mix of magazines, shows, movies, items and more. Hope you guys like :-)

Teen Vogue

I've always adored Teen Vogue for their amazing cover girls and articles that have taught me how to transition high fashion looks into everyday outfits. I am already subscribed (of course) and will always love the magazine.

Gossip Girl

Every fashion girl knows that GG is where it's at. A group of elite socialites living on the upper east side, dealing with drama and wearing super fabulous outfits? Uhm, yes please.

My Doc Martens

I just scored these babies recently and I'm still trying to break them in. Yes, I may have a red slash on my leg from the top of the boots. Yes, I may have blisters on my ankles. But these are so worth it.

Spring Inspiration

I have been prepping myself for spring fashion this year, and have been loving what I saw on the runway. Especially Rebecca Minkoff (spring/summer shown above), since I've been trying to introduce some colour to my dark wardrobe.

500 Days of Summer

I've always wanted to see this movie and now that I have, I'm obsessed. Zooey Deschanel is perfect, Mathew Gray Gubler is the best, and Chloe Grace Moretz is still adorable. Plus, the soundtrack is so rad (Regina Spektor, The Smiths, The Tempter Trap, Feist!).

Hope you guys like my current faves. What have you been loving lately? Let me know below. c:

Sweet Disposition

I recently went to a mall in New York that had a very, very large H & M. They happened to have a half off of all marked down items... it was beautiful. So many of the items you will see in the next few weeks on here will be from the store!
Fun prints are actually my favourite things ever. So when I spotted this pineapple-triangle patterned mini, I almost screamed. I mean, just look at it. You can't blame me. For my birthday, my bestie gave me a super chill beanie with "GEEK" on the top. The two seemed like a match made in heaven. Am I right?

New Boots

Over the weekend, I managed to score some pretty sweet Doc Martens! Patent leather is where it's at, guys. Here is the link to the boots: http://www.dmusastore.com/p-2189-1460-w.aspx

You'll be seeing these a lot on here. I mean, a LOT.

Bad Kids

Edgy and sweet make a pretty rad combo, I think. Here I paired a buckle-waist dark skirt that has goth-chic written all over it with a delicate floral button down. The result is pure genius.

Valentine's Day Style Guide

vday

I love both of these looks because they feature just enough pink and just enough quirk and attitude. Ditch the classic red dress and go an adorable combination like either of these two looks. I know I will be!

Start a Riot

I just realized that I never featured my adorable cheetah print flats in any look and decided I just HAD to. I mean, they're just too cute. Especially with dark wash skinnies, a flowy tank and tailored cardi. Love.
