NYE Style Guide

The time has finally come when we bid our goodbyes to the year and walk into the next one. I don't know about you guys, but I am totally cool with it. I'm looking forward to a brand new year with the blog!

Here, I'm going to show you guys some fierce looks you can rock at your big New Year's Eve party. Also, I want to share some tips for party styling with you!

    LOOK 1:

I really love this look because of the funky skirt. It's quite the statement piece, perfect for NYE! I would personally go for a statement necklace, but here I used a few fun bracelets for arm candy. Add tights if it's cold where you are, and you're good to go!

LOOK 2:

I've always loved this dress because of how eccentric it is. Between its comfy scuba knit, neon panels, and bright zipper, it's hard to choose a favourite part! Add a textured bag and nude heels and you're good to go!

     TIPS:
  • Remember to play with bold colours, patterns, prints, and textures. That's the fun in going to parties- experimenting with different fashion risks!
  • Bring a pair of comfy shoes with you so you can swap them out with your heels. These shoes can be cool converse, adorable flats, or combat boots- whatever works with your style.
  • Make sure your outfit is comfortable and easy to move in, but cute. You don't have to make your fashion suffer for comfort!
  • Have fun!

P.S. This is how I will be spending my NYE.

Beauty Haul

Hey guys! How was your Christmas? Here I'm going to show you what beauty products I got on the 25th.

DISCLAIMER: I am not trying to brag in any way, shape, or form. This is just to share with you some cute beauty items I've acquired and tell you what I think of them. :)

  • EOS. I absolutely adore these things. They're tiny, round lip balms that come in tons of different flavors. Not only are they adorable, but inexpensive too! I have one in strawberry, blueberry, and grapefruit.
  • Mary Kay Eye Makeup Remover. I have had this before, and loved it. It's an oil that removes makeup in seconds. Very helpful!
  • Julep Nail Colours. I absolutely LOVE these polishes. They're quirky and fun, but also good quality. I received them in the shades: Vanessa, Abbie, Andrea, Cara, Emma, Lauren, Billie Jean, and Morgan.
  • E.L.F. Duo Eyeshadow Cream in Sugar Cookie. I had never used this product before I was given it as a gift. These creamy colours work well as light bases for powder eye shadow, or just under black winged liner. Love!
  • Julep Sweep Eyeshadow Palette: Neutrals. These classic colours are amazing over the cream shadows I mentioned previously. They're incredibly pigmented and perfect in the crease with a light glitter on the lid.
  • Taylor Swift Enchanted Wonderstruck Perfume. I'm not a fan of many fragrances, because overwhelming scents tend to scare me off. But this one is understated; it smells like vanilla and berries, which I love. I only received the sample, but I'll definitely be purchasing a full-sized bottle soon!
  • Bath and Body Works Hand Sanitizers. These are so amazing. I've always loved these for their scents, and this year I was given four: two in Dazzling Diamond, and one in Strawberry Smooches, Vanilla Berry, and Lemon Meringue Cheer.
  • Julep Body Frosting in Pink Grapefruit. I like this so much because of it's amazing scent and how soft it makes my skin! Perfect for a spa night.
  • Julep Body Scrub in Pomegranate. Pomegranates have the most amazing scent- they're my favourite fruits, too! This scrub is perfect for the harsh winter air- combined with my body frosting, my skin will stay moisturized these next few months!
  • E.L.F. Professional Tweezers. This item is a necessity. E.L.F. is known for their quality and low prices, and it's the place to go when in need of a product like this.
  • E.L.F. Liquid Eyeliners in Stardust and Copper. I absolutely love glitter eyeliner, and these two are the best for the price!

Christmas Eve Guide

Hey guys! Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and everybody is doing something different. Here, I will show you two different looks- one for a formal event, and one for a semi-formal event. At the end, I'll share my tips to having a spectacular holiday and what I'll be doing!

     Look 1:

You can never go wrong with a LBD! I chose a fitted one to pair with a statement necklace, sheer tights, and pumps. It's simple, classy, and fun. I could imagine someone wearing this at a party with friends.

     Look 2:

I absolutely love this look because of its versatility. When you think about it, you can wear this to numerous events. You can swap out heels for combat boots, or a clutch for a satchel, etc.

Top 3 Tips for a Perfect Christmas

  • Have a practical, but cute, outfit
  • Be with people you care about- whether this be family or friends.
  • Have fun!

On Christmas Eve, I always relax the entire day till the evening. Then I go with my family to church; after, we drive around and look at the lights on people's houses. Later, I get Chinese food and chill out in my PJ's. On Christmas day, my family exchanges gifts and I spend the day eating and spending time with my loved ones.

Fluorescent Adolescent

     Hey guys, I'm back!
I'm using my nearly broken laptop to post for now on, and I do not know how long it will last. So if, in the near future, my blog is no longer updated, it is probably for this reason.
Anyway, here is a cute outfit I put together today, for school was cancelled due to the snow I am standing in in this photo. I tucked a summery graphic tank into a dark maxi skirt and added a sweater to make it more winter-esque. Using a bright belt to break up the all-black-ensemble, this was the result.

Is it snowing where you live? Comment below!

Heavy in your Arms

Honestly, skinnies and leather jackets make my go-to outfit. Here, I wore a mustard button down with dark blue skinnies, a leather moto jacket, and combat boots.

Sorry!

Hey guys! Sorry, I just took a bit of a mini vacation for a week. My laptop has broken and now I am using my computer. Issue: images do not upload on this computer because I have Windows 8.

Has anyone else experienced this as well? I am struggling to figure out how to fix this big problem...

Style Steal: Lorde

My new favourite artist is Lorde, who just released her debut album Pure Heroine at the age of sixteen in September. Her hypnotizing voice and fascinating lyrics have turned the world of pop music upside down, and I absolutely adore her! One other thing I love about Lorde is her style. Here are a couple of her outfits:

I absolutely love her fashion sense because it's quirky with an edge, and Lorde doesn't feel the need to wear less clothing to receive attention. Here is an outfit I put together inspired by her:
